Modern Stories Mix features Jamie Brickhouse. He is the author of the critically acclaimed Dangerous When Wet: A Memoir of Booze Sex and My Mother. Jamie’s also a two-time Moth StorySLAM champion, a Literary Death Match champion, and has performed at live storytelling shows throughout New York, including RISK! He has also performed standup comedy and recorded voiceovers for the legendary cartoon TV show Beavis and Butthead.

He will be performing his solo show adaption of Dangerous When Wet at the Kraine Theater in Manhattan as part of this year’s Frigid Festival starting on Thursday, February 23rd. Get tickets here.

Jamie’s story, “Let Me Let You Go,” was recorded in the Modern Stories Studio in Westchester, NY and produced by Julie Threlkeld. In-story music was “No Comment” from Joëlle Léandre. The outro music, “Whispers,” was composed and recorded by Julie Threlkeld.
